American Medical Endoscopy  is actively envolved in the area of surgeon education. On August 27-28th 2002, we flew to Salvador in the State of Bahia, Brasil with Dr. Luis Vargas of UHZ (Uribe - Hechtman - Zvijac) Sports Medicine Institute (Team Surgeons for the University of Miami Football Team, the Miami Heat Basketball Team, and the Miami Dolphins Football Team).

There in Salvador, American Medical and Johnson & Johnson co-sponsored the 1st Curso de Atualização Ombro e Joelho by Ortoped, a large group of orthopaedic surgeons in Salvador. Over 200 Surgeons from Brasil attended the 2 day educational event where Dr. Luis Vargas was among the featured guest speakers.

Other well known speakers were Dr. Glayson Godinho from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais Brasil, Dr. Paulo Alencar from Curitiba, Parana Brasil, and Dr. Sergio Checchia from São Paulo Brasil.
